Machinist

The job

Bryan Tool & Machining is family-owned, third-generation owned and operated, and has worked out of Broadway, Virginia since 1992. We invest in our equipment and in our people, and we’re more than a job shop: along with machining, our team troubleshoots customers’ existing systems and builds turnkey solutions for the problems holding them back.

This role is for a skilled tradesperson who can make new machined parts and also repair existing ones, using mechanics, math and machining to get worn or broken parts back in service.

Responsibilities

• Make new machined parts
• Repair machined parts using mechanics, mathematics and machining
• Run conventional machining equipment
• Read and interpret drawings (SolidWorks)
• Stay organized and keep track of several jobs at once, with close attention to detail

Requirements

We’re looking for a skilled tradesperson with the following skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge of conventional machining
• A mechanical thinker with strong critical thinking skills
• Able to read and interpret drawings (SolidWorks)
• MasterCam experience
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking
• Manufacturing experience
• Welding knowledge

• High school diploma or GED
• Trade school or equivalent experience
