Move, install, align, and commission the equipment your production depends on.
Bryan Tool's millwright and rigging crews relocate, install, and rebuild industrial machinery across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic — from a single CNC mill move to a turnkey production line build, backed by our in-house machine shop and fab floor.

Turnkey millwright work, backed by a company founded in 1992, a 60,000 sq ft facility, and a full machine and fabrication shop.
Millwright and rigging at Bryan Tool means more than getting a machine across a shop floor. It means safe, planned movement of heavy equipment, precise installation, true alignment, and full commissioning — mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic — so your production line runs the way it's supposed to from day one.
Because we're a full machine shop and fabrication facility, our millwright crews don't have to wait on outside vendors. If a bracket needs to be made, a shaft remachined, or a fixture welded up to land the install, we build it in-house and have it on the truck the next morning.
We hold a Virginia Class A Contractor license and maintain an A-grade in the ISNetworld safety management system, which lets us extend our shop services straight onto your floor — and meet or exceed the safety requirements of customers in defense, pharma, food and beverage, alternative energy, and heavy industrial.
Third generation owned and operated — the people who quote your job are the same people who answer for it.

Millwright & rigging in action.
A look at how our crews handle on-site work — from planning and rigging through installation, alignment, and commissioning.
From a single machine move to a full production line build.
Whether you're relocating a plant, replacing a critical piece of equipment, or commissioning a new line, our crews have done the job before. Here's the scope of work we handle every week.
Heavy Equipment Relocation
Plant moves, machine relocations, and consolidation projects. We plan the lift, rig the load, move it safely, and set it back in place — inside your facility or across state lines. See the fleet we bring.
New Equipment Installation
Set, anchor, and connect new CNC machines, presses, mills, and production equipment. Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic hookups — fully commissioned to the OEM spec sheet.
Precision Alignment & Leveling
Laser and dial-indicator alignment for spindles, shafts, couplings, and conveyors. Proper alignment is the difference between a five-year run and a six-month bearing failure.
Production Line Design-Build
Turnkey production line installations — from pharmaceutical platforms to cable production lines. Design, fabricate, install, wire, and commission as a single source.
Equipment Removal & Decommissioning
Safe teardown, removal, and disposal or scrap recovery of obsolete equipment. Cleared floor space, clean disconnects, and proper handling of fluids and electrical.
On-Site Retrofits & Rebuilds
Bridgeport-style mill rebuilds, control upgrades, retooling for new product runs, and mechanical overhauls performed at your facility when the machine can't leave the floor.
The equipment we bring to your floor.
Heavy equipment relocation is only as good as the gear behind it. This is what Bryan Tool owns and operates — no waiting on a rental yard, and no third-party rigging contractor on your site.

Owned and operated in-house — not subcontracted.
Most riggers move the machine. We make sure it runs when we're done.
Hiring a separate rigger, electrician, fabricator, and machine shop turns a one-week install into a six-week scheduling problem. Bryan Tool is the single source — and we sign off when production is back online.
One project manager, start to finish
You work with one dedicated project manager from quote to commissioning. No subcontractor finger-pointing, no surprise change orders, no "that wasn't in our scope."
In-house shop backs every crew
Need a custom mount, an adapter plate, a re-machined keyway, or a fab piece to land the install? Our 60,000 sq ft facility makes it overnight. The truck rolls with the part attached.
VA Class A + ISN A-grade safety
We carry the licensing and safety credentials required by industrial, defense, pharmaceutical, and food-grade facilities. The paperwork is done before we get to the gate.
Solutions guaranteed
While many on-site contractors disappear after the invoice clears, we stand behind our work. If the equipment isn't running to spec when we leave, we aren't done.
If it runs in an industrial facility, we've probably moved one.

Site Visit
We come to your facility, look at the equipment, the path, the foundation, and the schedule. No estimates from a brochure — we plan from what's actually there.
Rig & Move Plan
Detailed rigging plan, load calculations, route, anchor points, and crew assignments. Submitted to your team and our safety lead before any equipment touches a strap.
Execute On-Site
Crew arrives with the tools, fabrications, and replacement parts the job needs. We move, set, anchor, align, and connect — mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic.
Commission & Sign Off
Run the equipment, confirm to spec, document the work, walk you through the changes, and hand it off. Production is back online before we leave the gate.
