John Bryan founded Bryan Tool & Machining after 28 years teaching machining at Harrisonburg Technical Center and Massanutten Technical Center. John opened Bryan Tool in 1992 in a little one-room shop. Fueled by passion and dedication, he outgrew that shop by 1994 and moved to a larger location on Carrie Street in Broadway, VA. In 2007 the company custom-built a 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Today the business, staff, and facility have grown to include several buildings at a combined 60,000 square feet.

Mr. Bryan has a daughter, Suzette, and four grandchildren — Mandy, Rachel, Allison, and Landon.

Tim Bryan, President of Bryan Tool, has been involved in the business since its origination in 1992. Machining has been in the Bryan family's history for generations, and it was a natural step for Tim when he took over the reins from his father in 2002. Tim and his wife Debbie live on a farm in the area with their two daughters, Rachel and Allison, and their son Landon. When not in the shop, Tim helps out on his own farm working with horses and miniature Hereford cattle.

David Huffman is the Senior Engineering Manager and has been working at Bryan Tool since 1993. Born and raised in Broadway, VA, David and his wife Kim have two children, Sydney and Bryce. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors. David is a certified machinist and a certified CAD/CAM technician.

Joey Dean joined Bryan Tool in April 2010 as the Operations Manager. He has 25 years of experience in the plastic container industry, where he worked as a machinist and maintenance manager. Joey is a certified Tool and Die Journeyman. A native of Rockingham County, Joey and his wife Cheryl have two children, Laura and Jacob. When he is not working, Joey enjoys hunting, fishing, and working on his farm.

Chip Wittig joined the team in May of 2010 and is the Project/Engineering Manager for Bryan Tool. Born and raised in Fulks Run, VA, he currently resides in Timberville, VA. In his spare time he enjoys working horses, fishing, and spending time with his family. Chip is certified in CAD/CAM and has spent the last 23 years in the machining, fabrication, and other manufacturing industries.

Lukas is the Onsite Project Manager at Bryan Tool, where he works directly with customers to develop practical solutions, prepare project estimates, and lead projects from planning through completion in the field. He works closely with both customers and crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

He started 14 years ago as a welder while still in high school and has grown through multiple roles. After earning his journeyman machinist certification, he served as foreman of the road crew before stepping into project management. Machining runs deep in his family — his grandfather and several other family members were machinists.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kristen, their son Logan, and their two dogs — riding horses in the mountains or working on the family's 1922 farmhouse.

Kevin Early joined our team as the Director of Project Management in 2024. With over 35 years of significant experience in the tool and die industry, Kevin is a seasoned journeyman tool and die maker who has excelled in management for the past 20 years. He is proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor, and holds certifications as both an ISO auditor and a True Color Personality instructor.

Outside of his professional achievements, Kevin is an avid bow hunter and classic car enthusiast. He and his wife proudly call Fishersville home.

Jim Britton is the General Sales Manager for Bryan Tool. Jim joined the team in January 2009 after spending most of his career with Sullair Corporation in Tidewater, VA. Raised in Newport News, VA, Jim and his wife Linda reside in Waynesboro, VA, and have two daughters — one living in Gloucester and one in Maui.

Scott Clatterbuck is the Estimator and Sales Operations Manager for Bryan Tool. He has worked for Bryan Tool for a total of 18 years and is also involved with customer relations. He is a Virginia State Certified Machinist and was a student of John Bryan's at Massanutten Technical Center. He lives in Keezletown and enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and sports.

Rachel works in marketing at Bryan Tool. Born and raised in the family business, she has spent a lot of time around the office but just recently joined the team. She is currently at Blue Ridge Community College studying business management and is working to use and implement those skills at Bryan Tool. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time outside on her family farm and being with friends and family.

Sandie Morris joined the team in 2019. She is the Resourcing Manager at Bryan Tool, with over 20 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management. She also handles the safety training and safety programs. Born and raised in Broadway, VA, Sandie and her husband Justin live in Broadway with their son Bentley. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.

Joining the Bryan Tool team in April 2025, Brian brings over 30 years of financial experience working in the manufacturing sector. Brian's focus is to drive efficiency, maximize results, and oversee financial reporting for the company. Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Brian currently resides in Broadway, VA. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, trivia, and following Virginia Cavalier athletics.

Brian Garrison joined Bryan Tool in 2017 as the Industrial Electrical Lead. He started his trade through a four-year apprenticeship at a Steel Mill in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He worked 12 years in the Steel Mill, then moved on to a major brewer for seven years as an Industrial Electrician and managed the Electrical Department in Packaging for ten years.

Brian has a B.S. in Information Systems and has worked with a broad array of industrial electrical equipment — Allen Bradley, Modicon, Mitsubishi, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and more. He has over 25 years' experience and excels in troubleshooting equipment. Brian and his wife Brooke moved to the Valley with their three kids — Reid, Drake, and Rylie — and fell in love with the area.
