Industrial Technician

The job

Bryan Tool & Machining is family-owned, third-generation owned and operated, and has worked out of Broadway, Virginia since 1992. We invest in our equipment and in our people, and we’re more than a job shop: along with machining, our team troubleshoots customers’ existing systems and builds turnkey solutions for the problems holding them back.

We’re looking for an industrial technician to join our growing team: a leader with mechanical problem-solving and millwright experience who enjoys a dynamic environment. You’ll need to diagnose problems, work them out and deliver a fix in an industrial setting.

The position is full-time with occasional overtime as needed. Most of the work is done at our customers’ facilities. Worksites are mostly local, with occasional travel. Tools and transportation to and from the work site are supplied.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with management to direct workflow based on current needs
• Make sure work is done in line with company standards and safety policies
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
• Install new equipment
• Millwright work and rigging
• Industrial maintenance support

Requirements

• A mechanical mindset
• Honesty and integrity
• Works well on a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
• Machining experience (a big plus)
• Hands-on welding, fabrication, machining and rigging experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Trade school or equivalent experience
